009 – Wrington on Wye

 

A new 009 layout in the making.

Wrington is a fictitious railway in a setting along the river Wye where a mineral quarry requires its product transported either by sea at the river transfer quay or onwards via the rail system to unknown destinations.
There is an iron works that receives loaded iron ore trains from mines further afield.
A regular passenger services intercedes between a freight burdened railway.
Come and join an enthusiastic bunch of guys to build and run this layout.

Layout Update – April 2026

Layout Update – January 2025

   

The 4 base boards of varying sizes have  been produced. Cork was laid followed by track. Fitting of Cobalt IP point motor and wiring is in full swing although some technical wiring problems are being resolved.
